A Masterclass in Extreme CheapskatingIf you love spending your Saturday afternoon scraping sticky goo off your new face accessories, these are the glasses for you! Let’s start with the packaging design masterpiece: the arm labels. ICU evidently sourced a revolutionary, military-grade adhesive specifically engineered to never release its grip on the frame. Getting the label off is impossible. I’m sure the cost savings between using proper, peelable label glue and this industrial sludge is roughly 0.0001 cents per pair. Kudos to the accounting department; those micro-cents really add up while your customers are scrubbing their fingers raw! Once you finally get past the sticky residue, the quality only gets better. The hinges feel like they were forged out of aluminum foil and hope. I give them about three folds before they give up on life completely. And the lenses? Absolute perfection if you enjoy looking through a haze of instant scratches. I think merely looking at them too hard causes a permanent scuff. Save your money, unless you are looking for a high-effort DIY project that ends in cheap plastic snapping in half.
